Prices & delivery

We keep our prices as transparent as possible.
We have a single price of £ 20 for both adults and children (if you make an online application).
You can also apply by post or telephone, but there’s a surcharge of £ 10 for the extra processing involved.

If you want to change the name of you and your partner, or your whole family, we also offer reduced rates.

If you want a different delivery method, we charge you exactly what it costs to send it with Royal Mail — so you can rest assured that you’re getting a fair deal.

Prices

If you apply online If you apply by post / telephone Additional
applications *
Adult deed poll £ 20.00 £ 30.00 £ 12.00
Child deed poll £ 20.00 £ 30.00 £ 8.00
Duplicate originals £ 1.50–4.00 per copy £ 1.50 per copy £ 1.50–4.00 per copy

We also offer a same-day priority service, for an additional fee of £ 4.50 (online / telephone applications only).

Discounts

* Additional applications

Family members that apply at the same time pay £ 20 for the first application (or £ 30 if you apply by post / telephone), and the reduced rate shown (above) for any additional applications.

We will always try to calculate the lowest possible combined price, for example if you order any adult and child deed polls in the same application.

To qualify for additional deed polls at the reduced price all applicants must live at the same address.  Anyone who lives at a different address should make a separate application.  (For child applications the applicant is the person who will execute (sign) the deed poll on the child's behalf — not the child themself.)

Duplicate originals

If you order more than 2 duplicates (when applying online), the price per duplicate is discounted as follows:

  Price per duplicate
1 duplicate £ 4.00
3 duplicates £ 2.67 each
5 duplicates £ 2.00 each
7 duplicates £ 1.72 each
10 or more duplicates £ 1.50 each

If you wish, we can fold your paperwork in half and post it in a smaller A5 envelope (rather than an A4 envelope), and then send it by 2nd Class.  This service is free, but it’s only available if the total number of deed poll sheets (including additional applications and duplicate originals) is 3 or less.  Otherwise the paperwork is too thick to be classed as a small letter.

** Delivery by courier to certain countries may cost more than this amount, in which case we would add a surcharge.

Latest recommended application dates — Christmas 2024

If you want your deed poll documents to come before Christmas you should make your application —

  • by Monday 16th December if you choose the standard service and 2nd Class postage
  • by Wednesday 18th December if you choose the standard service and 1st Class postage or Recorded Delivery
  • by 3 p.m. on Friday 20th December if you choose the same-day priority service and 1st Class or Recorded Delivery
  • by 3 p.m. on Monday 23rd December if you choose the same-day priority service and Special Delivery

Bear in mind that these times — apart from with Special Delivery — are estimates only, and your documents may take longer to be delivered.  Statistically, over 90% of 1st Class post in the U.K. does arrive the next day generally speaking, but in the run up to Christmas you should allow as much time as possible for delivery.

International deliveries (to Europe or otherwise) sent by Royal Mail will be handed to the postal system in the destination country — therefore you should use the tracking system of that country once it has got there.

You should also bear in mind that the delivery of your documents will depend on the efficiency and the current status of the national delivery network in your country (where the documents will be received).

Packaging

All applications are posted in an A4-sized, quality board-back envelope to protect your documents (unless you specifically choose to have your paperwork folded and sent in a smaller envelope).

Processing times

We aim to process an online application and despatch the order within 2 working days of receiving it.
We aim to process a postal application and despatch the order within 4 working days of receiving it.

We also offer a priority service, for an additional fee of £ 4.50.  With the priority service, applications are processed and despatched the same working day — provided you make an order online or over the phone before 3 p.m..  If your order is made after 3 p.m., we treat it as though it had arrived the following day.

Where payment is made by bank transfer or cheque, we will process your application when we have received the funds into our account.  Once we get confirmation of payment — likewise — we aim to despatch the order within 2 working days, or the same working day when using the priority service.
