Refunds, corrections & cancellations
If we cannot process your application
Occasionally we cannot process an application because, for example:
- you don’t actually need a deed poll
- a deed poll is not appropriate for you, e.g. if you’re a foreign national living in a country which doesn’t accept deed polls
- you want to change your child’s name and you haven’t got consent from everyone with parental responsibility
In these cases, we’ll get in touch with you to explain what the problem is, and we always offer a full refund.
Making changes or corrections to your application
If you realise that you have made a mistake or you change your mind immediately after completing the order, send an e‑mail to email@example.com, quoting your application reference — we will normally be able to correct the mistake. But bear in mind that we aim for quick turnaround times. If we have already processed the order, we may offer you a discount on a second application, but this is at our discretion. Please check your application carefully before submitting the order.
Cancelling your application
If you change your mind immediately after completing your order, send an e‑mail to firstname.lastname@example.org, quoting your application reference — if we haven't already processed your application, we will be happy to offer you a full refund. Once we have started processing your application, we are unable to cancel your order. Please check any application carefully before submitting the order.
